Se, et dagens antrekk! Med våren kommer varmegradene og inspirasjonen tilbake :) Klikk på bildene.

I dag har jeg hatt på meg singlett fra Noa Noa, skjerf fra en butikk i Barcelona med bare skandinaviske merker (husker ikke hva merket heter), skjørt fra American Apparel og de nye herreskoene fra Paris. Selvfølgelig fått gnagsår... Ute hadde jeg på meg hatt fra H&M, trenchcoat fra Zara og veska fra Vanessa Bruno.

Denne uka har jeg falt pladask for Melody Gardot, en 23 år gammel jazzsangerinne fra Pennsylvania som skriver helt fantastiske låter. Hun har en nydelig stemme. Sjekk henne ut på Spotify/Myspace, sørg for å ha god lydkvalitet for maks nytelse :P Hennes fineste låt synes jeg er "If the Stars Were Mine". Liker også bossa-nova versjonen av Somewhere over the Rainbow veldig godt.

Nå tenkte jeg å kose meg med ekstramaterialet på den nye Twilight-DVDen. Må innrømme at jeg ble litt flau på mine egne vegne da jeg så hvilke jenter som kjøpte filmen i dag... Sa noen fjortis?

Like a Fading Rainbow

Denne er til Mia og alle andre glupinger som hører på mine fantastiske musikktips:

Amadou & Mariam er også kjent som "det blinde ekteparet fra Mali". Deres siste skive, Welcome to Mali, som kom ut i fjor, er en skikkelig humørspreder. Jeg blir alltid i godt humør av denne skiva. En blanding av tradisjonell afrikansk musikk og elektroniske instrumenter, beats og sound. Moderne world music, kan en vel si. Man må jo bli sjarmert av den småsure sangstemmen til Amadou...

Kathleen Edwards tredje album, Asking for Flowers, er utrolig bra. Hun lager country-folk sanger om alt fra dop og rasisme til vandringer og reiser. Albumet er veldig variert, fra de fineste balladene til de mer rocka sangene. Helt forelska i dette albumet.

Har du hørt om mash up? Nei? Det hadde ikke jeg heller før ganske nylig. Det er en musikksjanger hvor "artisten" blander vokallinjer, trommegroover, bassganger, keyboardriff og alt mulig annet fra SYKT mange andre artister og bander i en egen blanding. Det kan bli skikkelig kjipt, eller det kan bli dødsfett, som hos Girl Talk. For de som har hørt en del musikk er det kjempegøy å bare prøve og kjenne igjen en del av det som er med på hver låt (kan ikke kalle det låt, hele cden henger sammen), men det er også utrolig fengende og stilig for hvem som helst. Funker dødsbra på fest! (Ja, har prøvd). Hvis du liker mash up kan jeg også anbefale Santogold "Top Ranking" og Steinskis "What does it all mean?"

Andrew Birds åttende album (jeg har altså mye å glede meg til), Noble Beast, er lavmælt pop med gitar, fiolin og perkusjon ispedd en fin dose plystring og klapping. Og vokal såklart. Denne skiva liker jeg bare bedre og bedre, så mange fine sanger.

Litt eksperimentell pop, på en måte. Jenny Wilson blander inn soul og r&b på en veldig kreativ og original måte, synes jeg, pop utenom det vanlige. Spennende stemme har dama også.

Selvfølgelig bør dere alle sammen dra på Platekompaniet og kjøpe mange cder, men om dere ikke gjør det, så sjekk de ihvertfall ut på myspace eller noe.

Walk the Shame

I had a job interview at Sandvika Storsenter on Tuesday, so I met up with Maria afterwards to have lunch and check out spring news in the stores. I wasn´t supposed to buy anything, but I couldn´t help myself when I found two really good pieces on sale. Don´t know how well the interview went, but I couldn´t care less. Because when I got home they called me from where I work part time (Platekompaniet), and offered me a full time job :D

Yesterday Magnus and I went to a concert with Zoom-winners Norma Sass and Urørt-winners Pony the Pirate. Imagine the Green Soil was the opening band.

Norma Sass, talented and lovely girl band <3 The singer has a really cool voice and I think they had a couple of really good songs. They´re playing at Øyafestivalen in August. Check out the song called Japan.

Fall already?

Gucci f/w-08

I'm home from Øyafestivalen, and it was amazing. Spent time with good friends, saw good bands, and ate good food and drank beer. The best concerts this year was Ane Brun, Iron & Wine, Sigur Rós, N.E.R.D. (I touched Pharell Williams!), Clipse, Yeasayer and The Sonics.

Only thing that sucks, is that I haven't got a single picture for you. They wouldn't let me take my SRL-camera inside, and my little digital camera just stopped working. So I'll guess you'll have to wait for more outfit-posts till I have something to dress up for. Right now I'm just at home, washing my grandparents apartment trying to earn a bit more cash for Barcelona (4 weeks today!). In other words, nothing fancy these days. But I'll give you some eye candy nonetheless, autumn is here for sure with these pictures from Gucci.

Øyafestivalen in Oslo starts on Wednesday, I can't wait! I'm going to see Ane Brun, Ida Maria, Lykke Li, Iron & Wine, Sigur Rós, Fleet Foxes, N.E.R.D. and much, much more. Unfortunately the weather forecast looks depressing, a lot of rain. So I'll bring my raincoat and rain boots and try to look as good as the girls over here.
